The world is filled with many assortments of people. All have differences, with similarities also. The major similarity between the people of Earth would be the naivety to what’s going on beyond their everyday life. All they care about is what’s going on in front of them. Nothing else, all about Number One. The world could be in mass chaos and nobody would even notice. How sad, though, that the world has become like this. But fate does have its own way into meddling into selected peoples lives, even if they don't want it.
The evening was starting, the sun had recently set and the moon was rising. The people that crowded the city streets were dwindling down to the occasional drunk walking and mumbling something to himself and the late workers going in and out. Teenagers and tourists also crowded the night streets.
Talia Marvra dragged her boots across the pavement. Her eyes looking down, trying not to make eye contact with people. She didn't want to deal with anyone right now. She was tired and she was lost in thought, as usual. She abruptly came to a halt when she felt the small drops of rain fall on her head. She looked up, eyes squinted, as she saw the rain continue to fall quicker and quicker. A smile grew on Talia's face. She loved rain. The smell, the feel, the mood it brought to her. It gave her a great deal of happiness. She looked straight ahead and continued to stroll as the rain matted down her long hair onto her black coat.

June was brought awake abruptly by the stop of the train. A loud intercom sounded, “Excuse me passengers but we will be stopping here for the night. Tomorrow we will resume our expected schedule to Central. Thank you.” Damn trains. June was not fond of Amestris's new mottos on trains. In order to dim the amount of train robberies, Amestris had ordered that all trains were to cease movement at 11pm.
Passengers were given the options of either staying and sleeping on the train, or finding somewhere else to stay in town for the night. It was going to be a beautiful night tonight and June didn't plan on missing it for the world. Standing up out of his seat June made sure he had his two suit cases. He wouldn't have been able to leave if he didn't have two. To walk around with simply one would be disaster.
Walking off the train June was not surprised to see that the streets were crowded with tourists. Just what was so exciting about a former mining town. If the guide book was correct no gold had ever been found in the Youswell mines. As he walked the silent streets, dressed in khaki colored capris and a tight light blue shirt he was not shocked by the looks of many men who passed by him. With his long brown hair and very feminine looking face he was used to being mistaken for a woman.
However June's great night came to a halt with the first rain drop. A sudden frown crossed his face. Curse the rain! Rain made only mess. No good ever came from rain. Well except flowers. It did help flowers. But man could help flowers too. Then again the water did come from rain. But the world was born with water, so the water must have been there before the rain! As his mind worked itself in circles, as it often did, he almost didn't see the girl he was about to run into. Luckly he came to an abrupt stop right before he would have charged head first into her. And being six five he could have hurt the poor creature.
”Oh my I do apologize for my abruptness.”

Talia brought her stroll to a stop for a moment as she sealed her hazel eyes closed. Trying to zone out every sound excluding the rain. She didn’t want to think about anything. Zoning out was how she got by. She wasn't running. She just stood there in silence, her muscles fixed in a buoyant style. She would like to forget the world. Even if it was just for a moment. The world is filled with so much wrong, so much hate, so much chaos.
Her concentration was fortuitously brought to a sudden halt as her eyes snapped open to the unexpected person that almost hurtled their head into her face. Her head jerked back quickly in reaction. Talia wasn't in the mood for this. She really wasn't. Eyes like daggers, fists clenched, voice ready to blow like a powerhouse, Talia opened her mouth with the intention of affronting this stranger with rude remarks but then she then registered the fact that this person was much taller than her.
Her eyes softened. She arched her neck up slightly so she was able to see the person’s face. She blinked in a shocked manner. Talia stood on the toes of her boots and squinted her wide eyes. Was this being a woman or man? As she was trying to peer through the rain, she argued with herself in thought for a few moments but then almost right away shook her head and tried to utter a few words, avoiding trying to look way too obvious of figuring out the gender of this being. "U-Uh, it's quite alright, do not apologize. It's dark out so I understand. I am the one who is to be sorry for being in the way, Miss…?" she bowed uncertainly, still trying to make out this person’s features in her head. When she regained her composure, she looked at the stranger for a long moment, not saying anything at all.

June couldn't help but smile at the girl. With his hand folded in front of him, he shook his head. This creature thought it was her fault that he ran into her. She was far from being correct. Also it was quite clear she thought him to be of the opposite gender, which was perfectly all right in June's eyes. He was quite used to the mix up.
"It is mister June. It is quite alright my short friend, most have the same trouble you have. However how many women have you seen were six foot five? And this was by no means your fault. I blame the rain for this one. Always coming in and ruining people's days with its messiness."
June crouched down so he was level to level with the poor girl. His eyes rolled up and down her as if he was expecting her body. And of course he was, but not in a perverted way. He was checking her symmetry. He noted her long straight brown hair and even the clothing she chose to match. The poor child had no fashion sense at all! With that coat she wore and those ripped jeans!
"My oh my but what have you done to yourself?" Hand following the curve of his jaw in though June's mind worked a thousand miles a minute. First thing's first was to get out of this terrible rain. He had an entire night before he had to be on the train.
He wanted to do something for this poor creature. He had after all practically ran her over. Grabbing her hand suddenly he began to turn the opposite way while saying. "I just must make it up to you for almost running you over. And better way then that but to buy you some clothes that do you justice."

Talia shook her head quickly in embarrassment. "My apologies for that awful confusion, mister June!" she bowed again quickly. When she stood up straight again, she struggled to not smile but failed. "Messiness? But rain is magnificent. So soothing, so calm. When the rain drops down on me, it’s hitting me wonderfully, bouncing on my soul, leaving marks and making me just a little more whole." She laughed at herself nervously as she scratched the back of her head, wondering if she sounded even a little awkward. Talia took a step back hesitantly as June crouched to the same height as her. She watched silently as his eyes scanned her up and down.
"My oh my but what have you done to yourself?"
"E-Excuse me?" What in the world was this man doing? Talia looked off to her right, avoiding eye contact. Was he staring at her scars? Was he reading her face like an open book, noticing what’s wrong? Talia was a bit alarmed but did not show visibly of her true emotions. She put on her best poker face and quickly said, "Well, I best be off. Sorry to spoil your nigh-" an alarmed look was painted on Talia’s face as she witnessed June’s smooth hand grab hers with haste and speak of treating her to a new wardrobe.
Why clothes? Was it because she was dressed in an old coat, and ripped up jeans? Talia didn’t mind her attire. She quite frankly didn’t care how she looked. She wasn’t around to impress anyone and didn’t think she was the prettiest lady, either. Not that it concerned her. It didn’t matter what people thought of her anymore, or at least that’s what she told herself anyway. Still, change was always good. Change is what she may have needed.
Talia was so busy overanalyzing things, she didn’t notice she was already walking with June to the opposite direction of where she was headed. She looked up at June as they walked through the rain. She felt like a very small child next to him, holding his hand and such. The height difference between them was also incredible.
Why was she trusting this man to take her to the location he says he would take her? For all she knew, he could be trying to eliminate her in a very smooth approach. She decided to go along with it anyway. She had to stop expecting the worst now. "Marvra." she said out of nowhere, "My name is Marvra." She showed her opposite arm which read her last name printed downward on her muddy sleeve. "What brings you to Youswell, June?"

June did not expect the girl to disagree with his obvious attempt to help the pitiful creature. She had no symmetry at all with her ripped jeans and old coat. Why if that had been June he would have at least made sure that the rips were in the exact spot on each side. That would have helped the situation at least.
Even though she wasn't paying any attention to June, he went right ahead with continuing their conversation. "Now if I remember correctly there was a great little place by the train station. I know it might come to you as a surprise I have an eye for these sorts of things. I pride myself in being able to spot such abnormalities." He talked of her fashion sense as well. He hadn't noticed the scars on her body.
"As for the rain... I will never understand how one can like the rain. You never know where it's going to fall. Not only that but those puddles. Where is the symmetry in that. Not only that but look what erosion does to our poor landscape. This world is such a beautiful place with its straight and parallel roads and symmetrical windows and such. Rain destroys such beauty."
June was brought to a stop when the girl finally introduced herself. He let go of her arm and turned around and crouched down so that he was at eye level with the girl. "Nice to meet you Marvra. You have a very beautiful name you know."
Continuing on his way to the store he had picked, he answered her question to why he was here. "I'm on a very special mission for Miss Jade. She has entrusted me with a task and I must see that task through. That mission has taken me to Youswell today, tomorrow it will take me to Central." June came to a stop in front of a small building that read, "Rose's His/Hers". "This is the place."

This man is serious, she thought. Talia silently trailed behind him, not knowing what to say still. She took note of his pride in equilibrium. But the world is full with many defects!
She heard his comment regarding the rain. "That’s the beauty of it, though! Imperfection can sometimes bring magnificence to this world. Even flawed things can still go on with such dignity and grace. Imperfection itself may have its ideal or perfect state." She thought for a second. With her soiled bandaged hand, she point at the nearest tree. "If you look closely at this tree you'll make out it's knots and dead branches. But when you look at it as a whole, you see the beauty. Beauty and imperfection go together wonderfully." she concluded.
She blinked when he spoke kindly of her name and smiled vaguely, saying "Thank you. You have a lovely name as well, June."
Talia resumed walking with him again through Youswell, listening to the reason why he was here. Her eyebrows creasing a bit, she said, "Miss Jade? Hmm, sounds especially important." She thought about him. How he’ll be gone tomorrow before long. This made her feel low-spirited for some reason she’s not currently aware of. Getting away from her thoughts. she glanced at the words on the building and blinked questioningly. "Rose…?"

Before entering the building, June put his hands on his hips and shaking his head. "Imagine if those knots and dead branches were gone. If we got rid of those things, the beauty of the tree would increase. Imperfection hinders all that is beautiful. That is why we must fix imperfection. Take a look at our bodies. A truly beautiful person is perfectly symmetrical in every way."
Not wanting to waste any more precious time, June entered the store. Rose's His/Hers was a small little store with clothes folded on five tables. The clothes were all gender mutual, and came in an array of colors. The walls were covered in green wallpaper with flower designs and borders. It was a cozy little store with a cash register on a tall cable in the corner with a middle aged women behind it.
"Nice to see you again Miss Rose." June gave the women with the curly brown hair and chubby cheeks a smile. He motioned for her to come over.
As the store's owner made her way over to him he said lightly, "Just go along with the Rose thing."
When the store owner came over she embraced June with a hug. "What can I do for you today?" The women went by the name of Rose, which made sense since the store was called His/Hers. She made all of the clothing herself and carried sizes even his side.

Talia simple stayed silent. Not knowing what to say at all anymore concerning perfection. Who am I to speak of faultlessness? she thought, eyeing her tattered jeans. A truly beautiful person is perfectly symmetrical in every way… "While that may be true, real beauty lies deep within," Talia spoke aloud without notice.
She blinked and examined down at the neatly-folded rich clothes in front of her. "How vivid..." she murmured to herself. Euphoria suddenly ran through her being like a sudden jolt of electricity. She was excited but she tried her very best to conceal it. Was June really serious about all this? She observed the walls. How nice the flower-patterned wallpaper made the room feel welcoming and friendly.
She walked slowly behind June, peering around quietly but unthinkably bumped into June. She faced forward hastily. "S-Sorry." she uttered. Talia batted her eyelids as she noted the kind woman who seemed to go by the name Rose. She nodded at June, feeling quite reserved which was unusual for her. She’s normally headstrong. Not knowing what to make of all this, she turned her head to June. "Whatever it is you desire to do with me, you don’t need to do it. Really, the collision was my fault to begin with. You don’t owe me a thing." she finished roughly.
